Jammin' Today

I made strawberry jam this morning. I also made a mess, but that's par for the course with me. The strawberries came from BJs and were very beautiful--totally red. (They were also the cheapest ones I've found so far.) If you want sweeter strawberries, you don't want any white on the tips. They should be red all over. White on the tips means they were picked too soon and not allowed time to ripen!

Not sure why, but the strawberries are floating on the top. No matter, it still tastes flipping good.

  1. I can almost taste it. No strawberry jam for me this year but I am faithfully watering my row of strawberries hoping for a crop next year.

I have had fruit float up like that too. No idea why.

  2. Looks delicious! Our garden is shaping up nicely; I posted a photo of Abi with one of her zucchini's from her garden; she's so proud! She grew it totally by herself, too! When you are here, we will have to hit up the farmers market across the street from us. They are there every Thursday until about 5 or so. All of them know (and love) Logan, so we get great bargains! lol!
